Epic Games is reportedly gearing up for a collaboration for Fortnite Winterfest 2025, as new rumours suggest the classic holiday film Home Alone could be entering the Fortnite universe.

According to recent leaks, the iconic burglars known as the Wet Bandits may soon appear in the game as playable character skins.

The leak states that the collaboration centres around Harry and Marv, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, respectively, in the original Home Alone movies.

Reportedly, the pair would become part of Fortnite's growing list of holiday-themed characters; it already features some fan favourites like Sgt Winter, Polar Peely, and most recently, Jack Skellington, added in this year's Winterfest.

Fans are advised not to get too excited over this. The leak suggests that the community "take it with a grain of salt," because although the source is reliable, Epic Games has not confirmed anything.

Most notably, the rumoured lineup does not include Kevin McCallister, the young star of the movie. The general speculation is that this is due to Fortnite's strict standards in competitive design.

Epic Games requires character models to have consistent hitboxes, and a child skin would create imbalance in gameplay. While Fortnite has used creative solutions in making adjustments to its unconventional characters in the past, that of a realistic child presents a challenge that's much more complex.

Assuming the crossover materialises, a Home Alone crossover is expected to launch during the Winterfest window, running typically from late November through December.
