Huawei has formally introduced the Mate XTs, an upgraded version of its tri-fold smartphone, in an effort to increase its market share in the foldable smartphone space.
The new Mate XTs features internal improvements and two new colour options—purple and white—while maintaining its unique design.
Huawei Mate XTs specifications
The Mate XTs design features a large 10.2-inch LTPO OLED display, which has a 3K resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, demonstrating Huawei's proficiency with foldable technology.
Notably, the phone has a 16:11 aspect ratio and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits, and the screen allows users to run three standard apps at once.
The new Kirin 9020 chipset from Huawei, which is at the core of the Mate XTs, promises up to 36% faster performance than its predecessor.
Moreover, the gadget comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB to 1TB of storage. With HarmonyOS 5.1, the Mate XTs offers a seamless user experience.
The Mate XTs has three lenses: a 12MP periscope lens, a 40MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP primary lens.
With significant improvements to the ultrawide photography capabilities, this configuration improves on the prior model.
A 5,600mAh battery powers the gadget, which can be charged 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wirelessly.
Huawei Mate XTs price range
Starting prices for the Mate XTs are $2,520 for the 256GB model, $2,800 for the 512GB model, and $3,080 for the 1TB model.
However, the gadget’s worldwide release information has not yet been confirmed by Huawei.
