
Infinix Smart 8 was launched in January of this year in India following its unveiling in Nigeria in November of the previous year. The Indian variant of the model closely resembles its Nigerian counterpart in terms of specifications.
Featuring an octa-core MediaTek chipset and a robust 5,000mAh battery, the smartphone also boasts the innovative Magic Ring feature. It runs on Android 13 Go Edition-based UI and is equipped with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system. Initially, the phone was introduced in a single RAM and storage configuration. However, the company has recently introduced a new variant.
The Infinix Smart 8 is available in Galaxy White, Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black colour options in India.

The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at INR 7,499, while the new 8GB + 128GB configuration is available at INR 7,999. Additionally, bank offers are providing a conditional, instant 10% discount for ICICI Bank Debit and Credit card users. The new variant, featuring 16GB of total RAM (including 8GB of virtual RAM), will be available via Flipkart starting February 8, 12 pm IST, according to Gadgets360.

With dimensions measuring 163.6mm x 75.6mm x 8.5mm and weighing 189g, the device offers a comfortable and sleek design for users.

The Infinix Smart 8 boasts a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an AI-backed sensor, accompanied by a quad-LED Ring flash. The front camera features an 8-megapixel sensor paired with an LED flash unit. Notably, the device incorporates a collapsible Magic Ring bar around the centred hole-punch slot of the selfie camera, similar to Apple's Dynamic Island, providing users with notifications, alerts, battery status, and more.
