Infralectric, a renowned sustainable energy infrastructure provider and a Brillanz Group company, has launched Pakistan’s first Green Sukuk for the telecom sector, leaving a significant impact on the country’s telecom and energy sectors.

The project follows the recent successful completion of Pakistan’s first 25MWh AI-powered Energy Storage-as-a-Service (ESaaS) project, powered by Thunder AI.

The Green Sukuk is worth up to Rs3 billion and introduces a Shariah-compliant, principal-guaranteed financial model designed to modernise telecom towers with low-carbon, AI-enabled technologies.

The 25MWh AI-powered ESaaS project indicates a transformative leap in Pakistan's telecom tower energy infrastructure.

According to PhoneWorld, the Green Sukuk will utilise Thunder AI-driven battery storage to significantly reduce diesel consumption, saving over 5 million litres annually and cutting 13,500 tons of carbon emissions each year. This reduction is equivalent to planting more than 220,000 trees annually.

Bilal Qureshi, the CEO of Brillanz Group, said: “Today is a historic moment for Pakistan’s digital and energy future.” Fahd Haroon, Minister of State, added, “These initiatives demonstrate how innovation and collaboration can modernise thousands of telecom towers.”

The launch event featured key discussions among industry leaders, outlining the importance of sustainable finance and AI-powered infrastructure in advancing Pakistan’s telecom energy landscape.
