iPhone users no longer have to wait to get a closer look at the upcoming iOS 18 features, as Apple has already released the fourth iteration of the iOS 18 public beta today.

Apple released public beta 4 just a few hours after launching iOS 18 developer beta 6, including some exciting features that will eventually be available to all users.

The new beta version of iOS 18 introduces various features, along with bug fixes and stability improvements.

iOS 18 Beta 4 new features

Apple Music’s Browse Tab

With iOS 18 public beta 4, Apple Music has renamed its Browse tab to "New" and has also reorganised the content within the tab.

Bluetooth Control

A new dedicated Bluetooth control is now available in the Control Centre. Previously, users had to access Bluetooth settings from the Control Centre via the standard Connectivity control, which included other options such as Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, and AirDrop.

Dark Mode

Dark mode app icons will now display correctly in notifications, as they previously used the standard light mode icons even when dark mode was enabled. iOS 18 beta 4 also gives users the ability to custom-tint the app icons for each wallpaper or lock screen.

Apple announced the release of iOS 18 during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 in June. At the moment, it is only available in public and developer betas, but it will be rolled out to the public with the launch of the iPhone 16 next month.
