Good news for iPhone 12 users! Thanks to the latest iOS update, your phone might be able to charge wirelessly much faster.

According to a report by Macworld, tests show the iPhone 12 can now reach speeds of 15 watts on certain chargers, which is a big jump from the usual limit.

This faster charging seems to be thanks to a new wireless charging standard called Qi2. While Apple hasn't officially confirmed this, it's an exciting possibility for iPhone 12 owners.

Macworld’s tests reveal it charges faster on Qi2 chargers after the iOS 17.4 update, matching or even exceeding the speed of Apple's MagSafe charger — which previously powered an empty iPhone 12 Pro Max to 30% in 38 minutes and to 50% in 70 minutes. Now by using the Anker Qi2 MagGo Wireless Charger the user testers were able to charge iPhone 12 Pro Max to 30% in 33 minutes and 50% in 67 minutes.

Strangely, there's no mention of this feature in Apple's update notes.
