There's talk of the iPhone 16 lineup and for good reason, the new iPhone lineup is believed to become the medium for great change in the series.

Despite the well-deserved enthusiasm for the newest iPhones, the iPhone 17 has seen some traction as well.

Initially, it was believed, that Apple would be releasing a new, slimmer handset: the iPhone 17 Slim, which has now been replaced with the equally new, iPhone 17 Air.

The revelation comes from FrontPageTech which claims that the slimmer iPhone would be reappropriated as the Air and it does make sense. Apple has a history of similar naming arrangements for its iPad and MacBook series, where the “Air” stands as the middle child between the base and Pro models.

The site has also released a few renders with familiar iPhone designs including the dynamic design and a single rear camera.

The leaks also suggest that the model might include less titanium in its frame than the Pro models and this trend may run ahead on the processing front as well. It is believed that the Air will receive the A19 chipset instead of the A19 Pro the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will receive.

FrontPageTech also reiterates some screen specs that have leaked elsewhere, saying the iPhone 17 Air may have a 6.6-inch, 1,260 x 2,740 screen, making it a similar size to the 6.7-inch, 1,290 x 2,796 iPhone 15 Plus.
