iPhone 17 Air is likely to be Apple’s slimmest mobile in several years, and details of the claimed mobile have previously surfaced online. A tipster has announced the dimensions of the iPhone 17 Air claiming that it will be 5.5mm thick, while its length and width could match the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
If this claim is true, the Cupertino-based tech giant’s slimmer device could be about 0.34mm thinner as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which is likely to be released next month.
iPhone 17 Air dimensions (expected)
A credible analyst, posted on X (formerly Twitter) stated that the iPhone 17 Air will launch with the same length, and screen size as the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The tipster claimed that the dimensions of both these devices (except thickness) are likely to be similar to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, indicating the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro could measure 163mm in height and 77.6mm in width.
Moreover, the tipster suggested that the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature an enlarged 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, 0.2mm larger as compared to the iPhone 16 Plus.
Unlike Apple’s other devices, the forthcoming iPhone 17 Air will measure up to 5.5mm thick. The phone is slimmer than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is claimed to be 8.7mm thick.
However, the flagship device is likely to feature up to three rear cameras. Meanwhile, the slim chassis of the iPhone 17 Air is likely to feature a single back camera.
