Apple's September 9 Awe Dropping event yesterday concluded in a groundbreaking manner, letting out a slew of Apple's latest flagships across the Apple Watch and Apple AirPods lineups on the sidelines of the much-wanted iPhone 17 series and the debut of the long-rumoured iPhone Air.

One of the notable additions to Apple's new vast product launches during the Apple event was the new iPhone 17 Pro, priced at $1,099 for the 256GB model.

The new iPhone Pro model has brought a jaw-dropping spate of outstanding upgrades, including but not limited to an incredible 8x optical zoom and a main camera sensor that's 56% larger than that of iPhone 16 Pro in a bid to enhance low-light performance and overall image quality.

What's new in iPhone 17 Pro with the latest iOS 26

The iPhone 17 Pro is powered by Apple's A19 Pro chip, which has ensured a 40% performance bum over the iPhone 16 Pro, not to mention a new thermal management system that keeps the device cool to deliver optimal performance during intensive tasks, CNet noted.

The handset runs on the latest iOS 26, whose defining property is a fresh "Liquid Glass" design that brightens up menus and notifications without overhauling the user experience.

The inclusion of the latest iOS update has also resulted in a slight battery life boost, which Apple claims to be the largest battery ever in an iPhone.

For enthusiasts who're so much into videography, the iPhone 17 Pro supports the ProRes Raw codec, enabling professional-grade video shooting.

It's worth noting that the iPhone 17 Pro launched along with the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and the latest AirPods Pro 3.
