We're just days away from launching its latest iPhone 17 lineup containing four variants, but only the Pro models seem to be gaining traction because of a significant design overhaul.
A recent leak, let out by a credible source, has surfaced online, suggesting a tremendous redesign on the iPhone 17 Pro models.
iPhone 17 Pro design leaked
The report goes on to hint at a redesigned back panel on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, along with a unique cutout in the lower two-thirds of the device.
It was also outlined in the report that this area will be dedicated to wireless charging, perhaps to support technologies like MagSafe and Qi.
Rumours about this design shift have been circulating since last year, when it was tipped that the iPhone 17 Pro models would use a combination of aluminium and glass, getting rid of the all-glass backs of iPhone 16 Pro variants.
However, unconfirmed details are leading to mixed renders and concept images from different sources.
Leaked information also indicated that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro models will incorporate a rounded rectangular glass section within the aluminium frame. This glass is essential for wireless charging, as metal surfaces can interfere with the feature.
What's still under the wraps is the question whether Apple will create a finish with the aluminium and glass or go for a dual tone design highlighting the MagSafe area.
