Motorola is getting ready to launch a new phone called the Edge 50 Ultra. This phone is expected to be better than its previous version, the Edge 50 Pro. Some details about this new phone have started to come.

According to the report from Android Headlines, the Edge 50 Ultra will be a big step up from the Edge 50 Pro. It's rumoured to use Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which should make the phone faster and use less battery than the Edge 50 Pro's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip.

The phone is also expected to have a new look, while running on Android 14-backed software called Hello UI, with updates promised for three consecutive years.

In terms of design, the Edge 50 Ultra is anticipated to have a curved screen, just like the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. Since insights into the screen have not been disclosed, the device is rumoured to come in three colours.

One of the colours slated to be featured is Peach Fuzz, which is the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2024, and was offered with other devices by the company like the Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo. Some versions of the Edge 50 Ultra might have a vegan leather back, while others could bring a light beige finish.

For cameras, leaks suggest that the Edge 50 Ultra will have three rear cameras, each with a 50MP resolution. Supporting a 5x optical zoom in, one of these cameras might have a special 75mm lens for better portrait photos. The phone could also have laser focus and a triple-LED flash.

Owing to the uncertainty surrounding the release of the Edge 50 Ultra,it’s possible the smartphone will be disclosed alongside the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion on April 3.

However, since Motorola seems to be talking more about the Edge 50 Pro, it's unclear if the Edge 50 Ultra will come to India soon.
