Nintendo, the globally famed video game company, has raised the price of its first, original Nintendo Switch console, citing “market conditions” as the reason behind the cost adjustment.

The new price of Nintendo Switch will take effect from August 3.

It should be noted that the price hike is being attributed to the recent tariff imposition by US President Donald Trump, TechCrunch reported.

As it stands, the Switch console variants which will register the price increment include the Nintendo Switch OLED Model, the standard Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch Lite, and a few console accessories.

On the sidelines of Nintendo's mainstream Switch lineup, other items, such as certain Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, select amiibo figures, and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, will also undego price increases.
