Nothing has introduced an exciting new variant of its popular Phone 2a series, the “Community Edition.” This release, the fourth version in the Phone 2a lineup, stands out with a unique glow-in-the-dark design that was developed through collaboration with Nothing's user community.
However, hundreds of fans submitted design ideas, and the final product, “Phosphorescence,” was designed by contest winners Astrid Vanhuyse and Kenta Akasaki.
This version of Nothing Phone 2a Plus shows a slight green tint in daylight but emits a bright green glow in darkness, making it eye-catching and functional.
Nothing Phone 2a design and upgraded features
Nothing’s Phone 2a is known for offering quality at a budget-friendly price, and the Community Edition brings extra flair to the series.
This edition is based on the upgraded Phone (2a) Plus, which includes a faster chip and minor camera enhancements, giving users more value alongside the standout look.

Additionally, the phone features a custom “Connected Collection” wallpaper designed by Andrés Mateos, adding a new visual touch for users to enjoy.
The packaging for this limited edition is also specially crafted, with designer Ian Henry Simmonds incorporating reflective green accents that, like the phone, glow in the dark.
Only 1,000 units of the Phone 2a Community Edition would be available globally, with orders opening on November 12. In Japan, however, the limited edition would use the standard Phone 2a as a base model, not the Plus version.
Nothing’s Phone 2a price
Nothing’s Phone 2a latest edition, offering a standout look and enhanced specifications, is priced at £399.
