
Nubia is working on two new smartphones that are currently in development for release in the Chinese market, as revealed by recent listings on China's TENAA certification platform. These devices are identified by the model numbers NX724J and NX302J. The former is anticipated to launch in China under the name Nubia Flip 5G, no information is available yet regarding the final name of the NX302J. Here's an overview of what these two smartphones will offer.
Nubia Flip 5G (NX724J) will be the company's first entry into the foldable phone segment for the Chinese market. This clamshell device will feature a sizable 6.9-inch AMOLED primary display with a resolution of 1180 x 2790 pixels, complemented by a practical secondary 1.43-inch AMOLED cover screen boasting a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It appears that this device may share certain characteristics with the recently launched ZTE Libero Flip in Japan, according to Gizmochina.
It will be powered by a 2.4GHz chipset, likely the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The device will offer memory configurations of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, along with storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB. It will be equipped with a dual-cell battery rated at 970 + 3210mAh and may support 33W fast charging based on its 3C certification.
Camera-wise, it will feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual-camera system on the rear comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner will provide security. The device will measure 170 x 75.5 x 7.0mm and weigh 209 grams.

Moving on to the Nubia NX302J, it appears to be a budget-friendly offering featuring a 6.56-inch LCD HD+ display. Powered by a 2.2GHz processor, it will pack a 5,000mAh battery. Memory options will include 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
Notably, the device will sport a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a 108-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, it will house a 5-megapixel front camera. Like its counterpart, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The handset will measure 163.6 x 74.9 x 8.95mm and weigh 205.5 grams.
While the TENAA listings for these devices currently lack renders, it is anticipated that the Nubia Flip 5G will debut at MWC 2024. Both smartphones are expected to be available in the Chinese market starting in March.
