In a remarkable development in market capitalisation, the globally acclaimed chipmaking giant Nvidia became the world's biggest company on Tuesday.

Outshining Apple, Nvidia is now the highest-valued tech giant in the world owing to the ongoing artificial intelligence boom roaring to intrigue Wall Street.

Nvidia shares increased 2.9% to $139.93

The notable feat began grabbing headlines as Nvidia shares surged 2.9% to $139.93, increasing its market capitalisation to $3.43 trillion, advancing past Apple at $3.38 trillion.

Though it did not last over a day, the tech juggernaut secured the baton of the largest traded company earlier this year in June. The chipmaker is now worth more than Amazon and Meta combined.

Experts cited Nvidia's milestone to the world´s biggest tech tycoons investing billions of dollars into Nvidia´s powerful AI craft, the most crucial component to train generative AI modes like OpenAI´s ChatGPT or Google´s Gemini.

According to sources, the company will join the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Friday, underlining the skyrocketing rise of a company whose share price marched over 850% since the end of 2022 on the sidelines of the ChatGPT rollout, which caused an AI frenzy.
