As OnePlus potentially gears up to enter this competitive space, the prospect of a foldable flip phone with flagship camera capabilities has ignited excitement among smartphone enthusiasts, hinting at a promising future for foldable devices in the ever-evolving mobile landscape.

OnePlus and Oppo are reportedly collaborating on innovative clamshell-style foldable smartphones that could revolutionise the market.

According to insights shared by a Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, Oppo is actively working on integrating telephoto and macro cameras into its upcoming foldable handset. Notably, the tipster hints at OnePlus following suit, implying that both brands might introduce similar camera features in their respective devices.

While no official announcements have been made by either company regarding their plans for foldable smartphones, industry watchers are eagerly anticipating the potential launch of these innovative devices.

Previously, the brand introduced the OnePlus Open, a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N3. Now, with whispers of Oppo possibly launching the Find N5 Flip as a successor to the Find N3 Flip, speculation suggests that OnePlus might introduce a comparable flip-foldable phone to compete with competitors in terms of specifications and design.

One of the standout features of the Find N3 Flip was its cutting-edge camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 332-megapixel telephoto camera. Paired with a 4,300mAh battery and 44W SuperVOOC charging support, this device raised the bar for clamshell-style foldable phones.
