
Oppo, a Chinese tech company, is likely to release its new smartphone: Oppo Reno 12 Pro in India and worldwide markets soon, along with the normal Reno 12 model. The handsets were released in China last month.
Oppo company has confirmed that the smartphones are set for market debut in other regions. Whereas, the official release date is not confirmed yet. A tipster shared the specifications of both models, along with expected design hints of the smartphones that teased it to have curved displays and flat edges.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), tipster @Sudhanshu1414 posted pictures of the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, which looks like the models launched in China market on May 23.
The normal model is purported to support a display that is curved on the left and right edges, whereas the Chinese variant of the Oppo Reno 12 has the same display with four curved edges.

However, according to the tipster, the smartphones are expected to be featured with a rear camera setup and support the flat edges. The volume and power buttons are allocated on the right edge of the handsets. The pictures display the device to be offered in three colour options that were released in China earlier.
Oppo Reno 12 Pro, Reno 12 expected specifications
According to the specifications shared by the tipster, the Oppo Reno 12 smartphones will feature a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1,080x2,412 pixels) 3D AMOLED screen with a refresh rate and up to 1,200nits peak brightness.
The displays on the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro models boast Corning's Gorilla Glass 7i and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are powered by a Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC from MediaTek with a Mali G615 GPU, equipped with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The smartphones are expected to run on Android 14-based ColourOS 14.1 out-of-the-box. Moreover, the devices are said to have an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The handsets are teased to sport a 50MP primary camera with a Sony LYT-600 and optical image stabilisation, and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera with an IMX355 sensor.
The standard model has a 2MP macro camera and a 32MP selfie camera, whereas the Pro model has a 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP selfie camera.
In addition, the leaked specification sheet unveils the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro to boast a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 80W SuperVOOC charging. Moreover, it is likely to support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual nano SIM connectivity.
