Pakistan is going to get its first Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) that runs primarily on electric battery power and utilises petrol when needed. Capital Smart Motors, Ltd, a local automotive company, will begin pre-booking for this environmentally friendly car on August 20, 2025.
The REEV will incorporate technology, safety, and comfort. The REEV will feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which looks after a safe distance from other vehicles.
Moreover, the REEV will also use Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning to keep you in your lane during long hauls. For safety, assistive technology will keep the driver from arriving at his/her destination safely.
Everyone is thinking of other cars coming behind them in congested areas. The inclusion of Front Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert will allow the driver to travel safely in congested areas.
If you're parking or trying to move away from a proposed location, the REEV will employ a 360-degree surround view camera to ensure all visibility around the vehicle.
To give buyers more peace of mind, Capital Smart Motors is offering two strong warranty options:
- 8-year / 160,000 km battery warranty
- 5-year / 150,000 km vehicle warranty
These offers show the company's confidence in its hybrid-electric technology and aim to build trust amongst local buyers exploring REEVs in Pakistan.
Although the official price and delivery schedule haven’t been announced yet, the company says these details will follow soon. Buyers eager to get their hands on one of the first hybrid REEVs in Pakistan can register their interest at Capital Smart Motors’ showrooms across the country.
