Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of its flight operations to Muscat after a long suspension, aiming to open more options for travellers.
The airline will relaunch PIA Muscat flights from both Lahore and Islamabad later this month. According to the airline’s announcement, flights from Lahore to Muscat will start on October 28, while operations from Islamabad to Muscat will begin on October 30.
PIA plans to use Airbus A320 aircraft for this route, providing passengers with a comfortable and reliable travel experience.
As per the schedule, PIA will operate one weekly flight from Lahore to Muscat.
The resumption of this route is expected to facilitate travellers, particularly overseas Pakistanis working in Oman, by offering them a direct and affordable travel option.
Earlier, PIA announced its plans to restart flight operations to the United Kingdom (UK) after a four-year ban on services.
The Pakistan High Commission in London (PHC London) said that PIA’s return will provide relief to over 1.7 million Pakistanis living in the UK, ensuring easier and more direct travel to Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif confirmed that the first flight from Islamabad to Manchester and back is planned for October 25, with a weekly frequency of two flights.
