In a major step to improve public services and encourage environmentally friendly transportation, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed officials to put 1,115 electric buses into service throughout the province by December.

She approved a number of important initiatives and received thorough briefings from multiple departments during a four-hour review meeting, which led to this decision.

She directed officials to accelerate preparations for the launch of the electric bus service, stressing the importance of effective implementation.

Moreover, she also authorised new bus stop designs to accommodate the future fleet and instructed deputy commissioners to set up charging stations in support of this initiative.

The goal of this action is to give Punjab residents access to contemporary, reasonably priced, and environmentally friendly transport options.

In addition to the electric bus project, a number of public welfare projects have been approved by the Punjab chief minister, including safe drinking water through 5000 water filtration plants and bottled water delivery in isolated areas for underprivileged people.

Moreover, an important step towards bettering healthcare services will be taken with the cervical cancer vaccination campaign, a large public health initiative that will cover 6.5 million girls.

The Punjab government hopes to enhance the standard of living for its people, encourage sustainable growth, and offer vital services to those in need by carrying out these projects.
