The Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA) Punjab has approved the expansion of three private-sector Special Economic Zones (SEZs), which is a major step towards industrial growth and job creation.

Major industries in fields like electronics, home appliances, food, cement, and more are anticipated to be drawn in by this move.

The enlarged zones are expected to significantly strengthen the local economy by generating about 26,000 new job opportunities.

The provincial minister for industries and commerce, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, claims that the SEZs will serve a range of industries, encouraging regional industrial growth and development.

Hussain presided over the 10th meeting of SEZA Punjab, where the decision was made.

The meeting examined several SEZ-related applications and went over an eight-point agenda.

In addition to approving the creation of a subcommittee to hear investor appeals and resolve complaints, the authority chose to forward approved cases to the Board of Investment in Islamabad for additional processing.

This action is anticipated to boost the local economy since it has the ability to draw in large industries and generate thousands of jobs.

SEZA Punjab plays a vital role in promoting economic growth and development in the province by creating an atmosphere that is favourable for businesses to flourish.
