Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to broaden its reach by launching new domestic and international routes.

Earlier, the national carrier resumed operations to Europe and the United Kingdom (UK) following the lifting of a ban imposed by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

New flight routes

PIA has announced that these new services will commence this month, utilising its Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 aircraft.

From January 20, the airline will operate two weekly flights between Sialkot and Bahrain. A weekly flight from Lahore to Kuwait is scheduled to begin on January 25.

Additionally, PIA will launch two weekly flights between Lahore and Dammam starting January 22, while a weekly flight between Faisalabad and Jeddah will commence on January 20.

The airline has also announced a weekly flight between Karachi and Peshawar, which will start on January 25, alongside weekly flights between Sialkot and Doha beginning 21 January.

PIA has recently reactivated several grounded aircraft, including a Boeing 777, an Airbus 320, and an ATR. This has increased the active fleet to 19 aircraft. The airline aims to expand its operational fleet to 24 aircraft within the next six months.
