Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Poco F8 series will launch globally on November 26, with Indonesia being the first market to receive the announcement through a teaser.
The lineup will include the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra, while the standard Poco F8 is expected to arrive later.
POCO F8 specifications (expected)
The new series launches unusually early since the Poco F7 lineup made its debut just four months ago in March.
Teasers for the Poco F8 first appeared in Hong Kong and showed a partial design reveal that was in line with earlier leaked renders. The camera module seems to be accommodating at least three lenses, besides a Bose-tuned speaker.
A day before its launch announcement, the Poco F8 Pro appeared on Geekbench, which also confirmed the integration of Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The unit tested was probably an early prototype with 12GB of RAM and Android 16, running the single-core at 2288 and multi-core at 8404, right on target for a 4.32GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The Poco F8 Ultra also made an appearance on Geekbench, sporting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a whopping 16GB RAM. It scored significantly higher, 3451 single-core and 10666 multi-core, putting it ahead of the Apple A19 Pro in benchmark performance.
Both devices closely resemble rebadged versions of the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max, a theory supported by the design teasers themselves, including the Bose acoustic setup. Similarities hint that much of the remaining hardware will match their Chinese counterparts.
The standard Poco F8 has yet to make an appearance. Based on past releases, it may debut as a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5 Pro; however, that device has not launched in China either.
