In a fresh bid to empower the country’s youth, the federal government has revived the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme for 2025.
Relaunched in the wake of a growing need for digital literacy, the programme will reportedly distribute around 100,000 laptops to high-performing students across Pakistan.
The Express Tribune reported that the laptop distribution is part of the government's Digital Youth Hub initiative, which has been designed to increase digital access and enhance skills among young Pakistanis.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is open to students from all academic backgrounds, and the distribution will be based on merit. It's worth noting that priority will be given to top-performing and financially deserving applicants enrolled in public sector universities.
The programme is a key step towards bridging the longstanding digital divide in the country and promoting quality education nationwide.
