PUBG Corporation and Krafton have officially announced a new project, the 'PUBG: Black Budget', which moves the franchise away from its Battle Royale roots and into the intense world of extraction shooters.

In a blog post, the company stated: "PUBG: Black Budget redefines the extraction shooter genre with a focus on exploration and discovery rather than pure survival and combat.

"Set on Coli, a mysterious island trapped in a time loop and consumed by a supernatural phenomenon known as the Anomaly, players will face various PvPvE threats while seeking top-secret technology and unravelling the truth behind the black-budget initiative, SAPIENS," added PUBG Corporation.

PUBG: Black Budget

PUBG: Black Budget will have a gradually shrinking playable area. The upcoming title features a first-person perspective (FPP) with intense PvPvE gameplay — similar to Escape From Tarkov and Arena Breakout Infinite — set on a mysterious two-and-a-half-square-kilometre island trapped in a time loop, called Coli.

It should be noted that PUBG: Black Budget will be available on PC via Steam in select regions.
