The Punjab government on Saturday officially announced the winter vacation schedule for all educational institutions across the province.
The School Education Department announced that all public and private schools will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to January 11, 2026, and the regular classes will resume on January 12, 2026.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, officials have confirmed that this will uniformly apply to both the government and private schools to ensure consistency across the Punjab education system.
This way, students and teachers will get the much-needed seasonal break after a busy academic year.
Normally, the provincial government finalises the winter vacation schedule in advance every year according to the weather.
However, this year’s early announcement comes as temperature continues to drop across northern and central parts of the province, with Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan remaining particularly chilly.
