Realme confirms GT 6 launch for July 9, provides camera design details

Realme, a Chinese tech company, is ready to launch its new smartphone, Realme GT 6 this month in China. Earlier, the company unfolded the front panel design of the forthcoming smartphone and hinted at key specifications. 

Recently, Realme has confirmed the release date of the handset and hinted at the design of the rear camera module in the poster. The Chinese variant of Realme GT 6 is confirmed to boast a different design compared to the Indian variant, which launched in India earlier.

The company confirmed that the Realme GT 6 is ready to release in China on July 9 at 2 pm (11:30 am IST). Moreover, a banner on a microsite for the phone has confirmed these details. The promotional pictures utilised in the announcement hinted at the design of the rear camera module on the Realme GT 6.

The three rear cameras on the Chinese variant of the Realme GT 6 seem to be located within a slightly raised, rectangular module with rounded edges. The sensors are housed in a protective layer, diverse from the individual, uncased camera units on their Indian counterpart. In addition, the volume rocker and the power button are also seen on the right edge of the phone.

Earlier, the Chinese variant of the Realme GT 6 has been claimed to house a 1.5K 8T LTPO BOE flat display with 6,000nits of peak brightness level and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, the handset is said to feature a 50 MP main camera and a thin and large battery supporting 100W fast charging. It is said to feature a metal middle frame. 

Realme GT 6 specifications, price (Indian version)

The Realme GT 6 was unveiled in India with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a 6.78-inch 120Hz full-HD+ 8T LTPO AMOLED screen and a 5,500mAh battery supporting 120W SuperVOOC charging. 

For optics, the handset carries a 50 MP triple rear camera system and a 32 MP sensor in the front. 

The Indian variant of the Realme GT 6 begins at INR 40,999 for the primary 8GB with 256GB storage space, while the 12GB with 256GB and 16GB with 512GB variants are priced at INR 42,999 and INR 44,999. They are available in Fluid Sliver and Razor Green colour options.
