In what seems to be a notable stride to booost advertiser engagement with the help of platform conversations, Reddit has launched two new artificial intelligence tools.
Reddit Insights, the first tool, provides marketers with real-time data to aid in campaign planning, trend identification, and idea testing.
On other hand, Conversation Summary Add-ons, the second tool, allows brands to feature selected user comments under ads, showcasing public opinions on the advertised topic.
This announcement comes amid a rising trend of AI usage in advertising across platforms like Reddit, Snap, and Pinterest, as companies seek improved targeting options during a sluggish economic period.
Reddit’s update follows WPP Media's recent reduction of its global ad growth forecast from 7.7% to 6%, attributing this adjustment to changes in US trade policy. WPP noted that brands are increasingly opting for flexible contracts and AI-driven tools to navigate current market conditions.
To note, Reddit introduced new moderation and analytics features in March to help users better comply with rules and monitor post performance.
Whereas last month, the company projected its second-quarter revenue to exceed estimates, although it warned of fluctuations in Google search traffic impacting user visits.
