While the company has indicated the impending launch of its new triple-screen foldable and a more affordable “Fan Edition” (FE) version of the Galaxy Z Flip, it has emerged that both devices will be delayed a bit.
The development comes to contradict rumours pointing to Samsung's new foldable launching alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 this summer.
Citing a South Korean outlet, Android Authority reported that Samsung plans to release the Galaxy Z Flip FE and its triple-screen foldable by the end of 2025.
Launch of Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7
Regarding the long-anticipated launch of the Galaxy Fold 7 and the Galaxy Flip 7, it was outlined in the report that these devices will make it to the market at the Samsung Unpacked event scheduled to take place in July. Unfortunately, the new Galaxy Z Flip FE will not make a cut.
While the delay has not been attributed to anything in any official confirmation by the company, it came to light that Samsung Display just entered the initial production phase of the panels for the Fold 7 and Flip 7.
Another reason behind the delay is perhaps the uncertainty looming over the phone’s processor, as Samsung is still deciding between the Exynos 2500, which is still in the development phase, and the Exynos 2400e, which powers the Galaxy S24 FE.
