Samsung’s latest One UI 7 update is reportedly causing the recipient Galaxy S23 devices to malfunction, according to complaints brought to light by users.

Numerous reports, shared on platforms like Reddit and Samsung’s official community forums, mentioned that the latest One UI update increased battery drain right after installation.

Top-of-the-line features of One UI 7, developed upon Android 15, include a redesigned interface and new Galaxy AI tools such as Audio Eraser.

Fortunately, the Galaxy maker paused the rollout in the wake of the reported bugs before resuming it. Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra users are noticing reduced battery life.

According to a report, the bug is likely to take several days to a few weeks to subside, after which battery performance may normalise. Galaxy S23 users are advised to be patient during this period.

Taking to Reddit, one Galaxy S23 user reported having to charge their Galaxy S23 multiple times a day, even with light usage involving ordinary browsing and YouTube video streaming.

It's worth noting that not all Galaxy S23 users are encountering these issues, as some Galaxy S23 owners reported not having seen any noticeable battery drain, with a few claiming improved battery performance compared to the previous One UI 6 version.
