Solar energy has become an affordable solution for managing power needs in Pakistan, and now the successive cuts in prices of solar batteries are receiving ever more attraction.
The ranges of both lithium and tubular-type solar batteries have dropped significantly, thereby saving consumers some more money.
Latest solar battery prices in Pakistan
The prices of lithium batteries have declined by 20%; now, the unit that previously cost Rs400,000 will be found for Rs380,000. The prices of tubular batteries have decreased from Rs70,000 to Rs55,000 and can save buyers up to Rs5,000.
Such decreases are partly due to the cooling inflation rate and effective government policies.

The cost per watt has also come down to a record low of Rs28, thus making solar energy systems accessible to households and businesses. The trend is forecasted to continue, with suppliers already predicting further price drops in the coming months.
Solar batteries market growth in Pakistan
Federal Minister Owais Laghari recently said that in the last fiscal year, Pakistan imported 8,000 megawatts of solar panels. This is equivalent to 30–35% of the output of the world's largest Three Gorges Dam, which produces 22,000 megawatts.
The growing demand has led companies to consider setting up solar inverter manufacturing plants locally, thus reducing the large dependency on imports and saving foreign exchange.
For consumers who intend to opt for renewable energy, it is the best time to invest in solar systems.
