Subway Surfers has officially announced the launch of its new sequel, 'Subway Surfers City', which will bring a fresh layer of modern art, new modes, and enhanced mechanics.

The company said that "Subway Surfers City” reimagines the original 2012 game’s train-track chase with an upgraded art style, new gameplay mechanics and modes, and an expansive unseen environment.

Subway Surfers City launch date

Subway Surfers City is all set to launch on February 26, 2026, for iOS and Android. According to the company, fans can pre-register for the game on the iOS and Android stores for the exclusive rewards.

Developed by SYBO, the same mobile game studio as its predecessor, “Subway Surfers City brings players into the heart of the animated universe, Subway City. The fictional metropolis will feature four distinct districts for players to unlock and race through, including The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park.”

Subway Surfers City will also include improved gameplay, speed pads to boost progress, a stomp move to uncover hidden advantages, and a bouncy shield to improve jump abilities, among others.

Players will have the ability to play the title in three different modes:

  1. Classic Endless: The popular fast-paced runner experience where players chase high scores and discover new paths
  2. City Tour: A new finite mode where players progress through levels with distinct goals, exploring districts to find hidden stars and complete missions
  3. Events: A rotation of finite runs and trials designed to challenge players.
