Tecno has unveiled its latest flagship, the Phantom Ultimate 2, an ultra-thin tri-fold smartphone that offers a large-screen experience, marking the first use of TDDI technology in a foldable device.
By building on previous designs, Tecno has addressed critical challenges such as hinge durability, camera performance, and software optimisation, setting a new benchmark in the foldable smartphone market.

Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 key features
Display
When in folded state, the Phantom Ultimate 2 stands out as the slimmest among all existing tri-fold devices. However, when fully unfolded, it features a stunning 10-inch display.
This slim profile is achieved through an advanced, thinner hinge, allowing the device to match the thickness of existing bi-fold models that are 9mm thick.
Battery cover
While the current industry standard is 0.45mm, the Phantom Ultimate is said to be the industry’s thinnest battery cover, measuring 0.25mm, made up of a super-compressed Titan Advanced Fiber material.
Screen
Moreover, the Phantom Ultimate 2 screen is super flexible, allowing users to use the device according to their needs. The handset also features OLED Touch and Display Driver Integration (TDDI), along with an advanced 3K LTPO screen, which delivers a sharp 392 PPI for stunning visual clarity.
Camera design
Additionally, the streamlined camera design enhances the device’s thinness and lightness without compromising image quality. However, the camera also improves the device’s balance, making it more comfortable to hold.
Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 pricing
The tri-fold price of the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 in Pakistan is expected to be Rs328,999. The flagship is expected to launch on November 30, 2024, and will be available in various colour variants.
Not only does it show Tecno’s commitment by introducing the Phantom Ultimate, but it also sets the stage for upcoming advancements in foldable devices.
Notably, Tecno is likely to release second-generation foldable models, the Phantom V Fold2 5G and Phantom V Flip2 5G, continuing to revolutionise the user experience.
