
Weeks following its debut in the Chinese market, the higher-end variant of Tesla Model Y has now been made available for purchase in the US, Canada and Europe.

Being pricier than the previous model, the latest variant of the Tesla Model Y is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system and is a long-range trim of the lineup.
Citing the autonomous electric vehicle (EV) maker's US website, Reuters reported that listed at a price tag of $59,990 in the US, this upgraded trim of the Model Y is 25% pricier than the preceding model which came for $47,990.
The latest Tesla Model Y features a supervised full self-driving software, which was an optional cherry on top in the previous model costing an additional $8,000 over the actual price of $47,990.
According to the company, the new Tesla Model Y boasts an enhanced exterior along with an array of feature-richness, not to mention the slightly extended range of 320 miles (515 km).
Latest Tesla Model Y deliveries
The publication noted that the EV maker will commence shipping the new variant of its Model Y in March this year.
The rollout of the long-range Tesla Model Y is part of a broader debut of four Tesla vehicles in the US, with the model in question being the most expensive.
