Shahid Abdullah, the owner of one of Pakistan’s leading business groups, has been barred from leaving the country. Sources revealed that his name is on the no-fly list, and he was stopped at Lahore Airport while attempting to travel abroad.
This development comes as the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigates financial affairs linked to major power companies. Reports suggest that Abdullah is under scrutiny as part of this probe.
The investigation is aimed at revealing irregularities in the energy sector and ensuring transparency in business practices.
Close associates of Abdullah have defended his reputation, asserting that his business dealings are both transparent and lawful.
They emphasised their full cooperation with the inquiry, expressing readiness to provide all relevant information required by the authorities.
