The Toyota RAV4, one of the most popular compact SUVs in the world, is getting a full redesign for 2026, and it’s going fully electrified.
The sixth-generation 2026 Toyota RAV4 was officially revealed on May 21, offering a bold new design, stronger performance, and advanced tech upgrades.
Toyota RAV4 features
The RAV4 has been a top pick for families and adventure lovers alike, and Toyota seems ready to raise the bar again.
Toyota's new model will be available in both Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) versions, meaning the entire 2026 RAV4 lineup will now be electrified.
Toyota says the PHEV model will now offer up to 320 horsepower and an estimated 50-mile electric-only range, which is about 20% more than before.
All PHEV versions will also come with All-Wheel Drive (AWD), and some will support fast charging. The HEV trims come with Toyota’s fifth-gen hybrid system and up to 236 hp.
The new RAV4 comes in three styles: Core, Rugged, and Sport. Core trims like LE, XLE, and Limited will have sleeker body lines and wheels up to 20 inches.
Notably, the Woodland Edition, now a standalone rugged trim, features off-road tires, AWD, and a raised ride height. The GR SPORT, built by Toyota’s racing team, adds sporty body kits, GR-tuned suspension, and two-tone paint.
Moreover, the SUV features Toyota’s new Arene software, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, and a touchscreen up to 12.9 inches. It also includes Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
