Vivo is gearing up to launch its latest V-series smartphone, the Vivo V50, in India. This release aligns with the company's biannual launch pattern, following the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro's debut in August, last year.

Vivo V50 launch timeframe

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo V50 is expected to launch in India in February. However, the launch of the V50 Pro has reportedly been delayed, meaning that the V50 Pro variant might debut separately, potentially later this year.

It's worth mentioning that the Vivo V50 has already received certifications in multiple countries, including Malaysia and Taiwan, indicating a broader release beyond the Indian market.

The tipster also claimed that the Vivo V50 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

The handset will be available in three configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB of onboard storage.

The Vivo V50 is expected to come in various colour options including blue, red, and grey.

While there are no details regarding other specs of the V50 series, speculation suggested that the Vivo V50 might be a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which launched in China in December 2024.

The Vivo S20 boasts impressive specs, including a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 16GB of RAM, and also a 50MP primary camera with OIS support.
