Vivo X Fold 3 series leaks suggest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 50MP camera

Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Several leaks shed light on their potential features and expected launch timeline. Now, the promotional posters have surfaced, providing insights into key specifications of the upcoming foldable devices. Notably, the Pro model could be among the first foldable smartphones to debut with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Vivo X Fold 3 specifications (expected)

According to Gadgets360, a Weibo user leaked promotional posters of the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The posters highlight the phone’s lightweight and slim design with one of them comparing their weight to that of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Impressively, the foldables are suggested to be lighter than Apple's latest offerings.

The leaked posters also hint at an IPX8 rating for splash resistance for both models. While the base variant is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Pro variant is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Additionally, both devices are rumoured to feature Vivo's proprietary V3 imaging chips and run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

Both the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro are expected to sport 8.03-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED primary displays with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The outer screens are speculated to measure 6.53 inches, and both the inner and cover panels may include ultrasonic fingerprint scanners for enhanced security. Both models are likely to be powered by 5,500mAh batteries with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Vivo X Fold 3 series is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a secondary 50-megapixel sensor with an ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope shooter, all equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS).

Vivo X Fold 3 price (expected)

According to reports, the base Vivo X Fold 3 could be priced at around CNY 7,999 (approximately INR 92,100) in China, while the Pro variant may start at approximately CNY 9,999 (approximately INR 1,15,100). Earlier speculations suggest that the devices might be launched on March 26, 27, or 28.
