Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, the classic real-time strategy game released in 2004, will come back with a new look and full content this year as a remaster titled Dawn of War Definitive Edition.
The game will be optimised for modern systems, graphics updates, and all the content players loved about the original.
What to expect from Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War?
The Definitive Edition will include all previously released Dawn of War content, allowing players access to nine playable armies.
These armies include the fan-favourites Tau, Necrons, and Sisters of Battle, all of which have some of the most ardent fans in the Warhammer 40K universe.
Notably, the sequels Dawn of War II and Dawn of War III simply could not match the diversity of the first game.
Moreover, the remaster isn’t merely a cosmetic upgrade. The game will come packed with all single-player campaigns from its three expansions.
The original campaign followed the exploits of the Blood Ravens Space Marines. The Winter Assault expansion featured players leading the Imperial Guard (later known as Astra Militarum).
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War release data
The Dark Crusade and Soulstorm expansions brought in even more factions and introduced a new, open-ended campaign style, something that fans of games like Total War and Stellaris will enjoy.
Although there's no exact release date yet, Warhammer 40K Dawn of War Definitive Edition is expected sometime in 2025.
