Hypertension detection feature, new and probably one of the most significant additions to the flagship Apple Watch lineups, is all set to launch next week as it has received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The new blood pressure monitor was showcased during the Apple event on September 9, where the iPhone maker's iPhone 17 series took centre stage alongside refreshed iterations of multiple other Apple products.

Apple Watches compatible with new Hypertension detection feature

The Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, as well as the higher-end Ultra 2 and Ultra 3 models, are compatible with the recently introduced hypertension detection feature.

It's worth noting that while the feature, available in 150 countries, won't detect every instance of high blood pressure, it is expected to alert around one million users, as per Apple estimates cited by Bloomberg

Available in 150 countries, the tool will utilise data from the watch's optical heart sensor to monitor how blood vessels respond to heartbeats over a 30-day period.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 price and pre-orders

Available in Black and Natural Titanium colour options, the Apple Watch Ultra 3's actual price is $799, as announced by the company during its debut.

For those planning an immediate pre-order, bear in mind that the wearable will begin shipping on September 19, 2025.

With the inclusion of some of the most sought-after health features, Apple seems committed to health monitoring capabilities for its users.
