With Hajj 2025 fast approaching, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony disclosed on Tuesday the cost of the Hajj in Pakistan this year.

Citing a religious ministry spokesperson, The News reported that the cost of long and short Hajj packages for the year 2025 has been fixed at Rs1,075,000 and Rs1,150,000, respectively, adding that the “third instalment of Hajj dues would be received from February 1-10.”

The Hajj cost for the current year was announced shortly after Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reached the annual Hajj agreement aimed at facilitating Pakistani pilgrims during the pilgrimage.

Part of the accord is formed by 179,210 Pakistanis availing of the privilege of performing Hajj, a sacred obligation upon the wealthy, in 2025 and the provision of the best possible facilities to pilgrims. These amenities include special accommodation in Mina at discounted rates.

Application deadline for Hajj 2025

“Few seats to the government Hajj scheme are still available,” read a statement issued by the ministry, adding that these seats would be granted on a first-come, first-served basis by January 30.

The ministry informed that new applications would only be accepted for the long Hajj package since bookings for the short Hajj 2025 package have been closed. The deadline to submit Hajj applications for private Hajj in 2025 is January 31, 2025.
