
Xiaomi, known for being a powerhouse of mobile cameras, is constantly adding to its Ultra series. Therefore, after the successful debut of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14, the tech giant is gearing up for the launch of the Xiaomi 15 series.
While the company is yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date, a new leak has tipped that Xiaomi is likely to release its upcoming flagship in October.

Xiaomi 15 series release date (expected)
Taking to Weibo, tipster Fixed Digital Focus revealed that the Xiaomi 15 series, including a base and Ultra variant, might launch in China on October 20. Notably, earlier there were rumours that the series might be released by the start of 2025. The handsets are expected to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

Xiaomi 15’s base model is expected to feature a flat 1.5K LTPO display and support 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The handset is tipped to sport a 50MP triple rear camera, including a 50MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.
Additionally, the base Xiaomi 15 might also include an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint sensor to maintain user security.
Coming towards the Ultra variant, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to boast a 50MP Sony LYT-900 main camera sensor and a 50MP selfie camera. Xiaomi is also expected to put a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera in the 15 Ultra.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi Ultra 15 might also come with up to 24GB of RAM, and a HyperOS 2.0-based Android 15. However, the smartphone will come with a 6,200mAh battery.
