Xiaomi 15 Ultra likely to feature 200MP 4.3x periscope camera

Over the past few months, a famous tipster, Ice Universe, reported that the forthcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a 200MP telephoto camera. Taking to Weibo, a new leak has surfaced indicating that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 100mm lens, with 4.3x magnification, integrated with advanced camera capabilities.

The lens will support a f/2.6 aperture, and in contrast to its predecessor, the 14 Ultra that features a 50MP 120mm periscope (5x) with an f/2.5 lens.

It is important to note that the forthcoming Ultra smartphone is likely to feature two telephoto cameras — the 200MP module that will truly standout and will also feature the reminiscent 50MP 3x module — along with the upcoming two models including Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.

Furthermore, the entire Xiaomi 15 series will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset with an enhanced neural processing unit (NPU) and internet service provider (ISP) for image processing.

Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be released in January after the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models.
