Xiaomi is gearing up to redefine smartphone battery life with next-generation high-capacity devices. According to leaks, the company plans several launches by the end of this month, while even more ambitious models are expected next year.

One of these rumoured launches is that of the Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, which is rumoured to come with a battery of up to 9,000 mAh. This smartphone will come with one of the largest batteries on the market.

Xiaomi has neither confirmed nor denied these allegations, but it is expected that the leaks are dominated by power longevity.

Looking forward, it seems Xiaomi is working on its battery technology goals in a big way. In a recent leak, it appears that the company is working on a smartphone battery of 10,000mAh capacity, which would be compatible with 100W wired fast charging and extremely fast wireless charging technology in 2026.

Notably, despite the massive power cell, the device is expected to be no more than 8.5 mm thick, which is indeed a feat in itself.

However, Xiaomi does not stand alone in this race of batteries, as Honor is also planning to release a phone from the Win series with a 10,000mAh battery and the ability to charge with 100W of power, which would enable multi-day battery life for resultant products.
