
In what's nothing short of a boon to graphics designers and editors, Adobe Photoshop has finally been released on Android for the first time.
It must be noted that Adobe Photoshop for Android is available for free in its beta version. Users can download Adobe Photoshop's Android app directly from the Google Play Store.
Although the current beta version is available at no cost, it is expected that the final version will be offered on a subscription, in line with Adobe's usual manner of business.
To run Photoshop on Android, users need a device with at least Android 11 and a minimum of 6GB of RAM, although Adobe recommends 8GB for optimal performance. This release follows the app’s debut on iOS a few months ago, and the Android version boasts the same extensive features.
Key features of the mobile version of Adobe Photoshop imitates the capabilities of the desktop variant, renowned as one of the most advanced photo editing tools. Here's a breakdown:

- Removing or replacing parts of an image using the Tap Select tool
- Quickly brushing away distractions with the Spot Healing Brush

- Making precise selections with Object Select and Magic Wand
- Refining images using advanced tools like Remove and Clone Stamp

The Android version of Adobe Photoshop will gain further capabilities, as announced by the company, which will be rolled out in a separate app update to enhance the service's functionality.
