
Airtel, one of India's leading telecom operators, has announced a substantial price increase for its prepaid and postpaid plans. The new tariffs, which come into effect on July 3, will see the expected prices increase by up to 20%. This move is aimed at increasing the mobile average revenue per user (ARPU) and investing in spectrum and network technology.

Prepaid plan price hike
Now, Airtel prepaid customeINRwill have to pay more for their data and calling plans. While the price hike is in the range of INR200 to INR 600 depending on the plan, the annual INR 1,799 recharge plan would now cost INR 1,999 and the INR 2,999 plan will be increased to INR 3,599.

Postpaid plan price hike
The Airtel's postpaid plans have also been hiked. The INR 399 plan will now cost INR 449, while the INR 499 plan will increase to INR 549. The INR 599 plan will now cost INR 699, and the INR 999 plan will increase to INR 1,199.
