E-commerce giant Amazon has launched Amazon Bazaar, its new low-cost shopping platform, specifically for users in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Countries where Amazon Bazaar is available
Amazon users must note that Amazon Bazaar is currently accessible on Android and iOS, available in countries including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Kuwait, and Nigeria.
Users residing outside the abovementioned markets must note that the new and affordable Amazon Bazaar will soon be released to more markets.
What is Amazon Bazaar
What sets Amazon Bazaar from the main Amazon shopping application is that it offers a wide range of products priced mostly under $10, with some items available for as low as $2.
According to TechCrunch, the new Amazon Bazaar app shares similarities with Amazon Haul, launched last November as a competitor to low-cost retailers like Shein and Temu.
While Haul remains integrated within Amazon's main platform in many countries, Bazaar serves as a standalone solution in select regions.
The move makes Amazon a better competitor against popular low-cost Chinese shopping apps, particularly attracting younger consumers and those with limited disposable income.
It was also outlined that the app features “hundreds of thousands” of affordable items across various categories, such as fashion and home goods, complete with customer reviews and ratings.
On Amazon Bazaar, supporting six languages and offering free returns within 15 days, users can shop using their existing Amazon credentials and pay via major credit cards.
Why download Amazon Bazaar app?
The biggest advantage new users get upon downloading Amazon Bazaar is that it provides a 50% discount on their first delivery, along with interactive features such as promotions and social draws.
