The problem seems to affect mostly the wired connections, but wireless users are also reporting that they are also facing the same issues. The Android Auto community is no stranger to connection troubles, but this latest wave seems to be more widespread than usual.

Reportedly, Android Auto versions 11.7, 11.8, and 11.9 are the most frequent versions having the issue. These versions are the most widely available for the users, but the latest version, 12.2, seems to be unaffected by this unexpected issue.

The exact cause of the issue is still unknown, but it's believed to be related to updates on Google's end. The connection issues have left many users stranded, unable to access their music, navigation, and other essential features while driving.
