Apple announced the release of Apple Intelligence on its upcoming devices during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, held in June.
Recently, it was reported that this highly anticipated feature will not make it to iOS 18, which is set for an October release. However, it will be available in the first betas of iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1.
The feature will provide users with new ways of interacting with their devices, making the experience more enjoyable and productive.

The company also announced that users will have access to a detailed privacy report on how Apple Intelligence processes their requests.
Apple Intelligence and Privacy
Apple Intelligence includes features such as AI-powered SIRI, writing tools, image generation features, and more. It also allows users to ask the system to rephrase text and summarise messages or emails. These features work with both on-device and online language models.
To ensure users’ privacy, Apple has introduced Private Compute Modules (PCC) for processing requests online with end-to-end encryption, ensuring that personal user data is not accessible to anyone other than the user.
The company stated that the feature is built with custom Apple silicon and a hardened operating system designed for privacy. Therefore, it could be the most advanced security architecture ever made.
The module can be independently verified by security researchers, and users will be able to check whether their requests to Apple Intelligence have been processed on-device or not.
Apple Intelligence will generate this report by default and it will be available on the device for approximately 15 minutes. However, users can keep the report stored for up to 7 days by changing the device’s settings.
As the report may include sensitive data, users can only access it after authenticating with Face ID or Touch ID.
Apple devices that support iOS 18.1 or macOS 15.1 beta will have this new ‘Apple Intelligence Report’ feature, but it won’t be available in iOS 18.0 and macOS 15.0 coming this autumn. The AI feature also requires iPhone 15 Pro models, Macs, and iPads with the M1 chip or later.
