Apple has officially released the Apple Watch Series 11, its latest smartwatch. However, not everyone is convinced it's worth upgrading from an older watch, as while Apple has introduced a few important improvements, such as a better, tougher display, 5G capabilities, and more.

Many of the leading features are actually available on older models of their Apple Watch, making it a little hard for buyers to at least argue which way they might change in 2025.

However, the Series 11 looks pretty great on paper. Apple says you will get 24 hours of battery life, which is great when from the Series 10 you get 18 hours of battery life.

Additionally, there is, kind of, a catch: because this figure includes 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep tracking, as something that Apple deliberately didn't count before, the actual battery life we can reasonably expect in 'real world' application turns out to be marginally better, not a huge leap forward!

Moreover, the Hypertension Notifications and Sleep Score, two of the biggest highlights from Apple's keynote, will actually work and are not exclusive to Series 11.

The company will work on Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Ultra 2, and any watch with at least watchOS 26. However, buyers do not necessarily have to have the latest one to have these health tools.

If price does matter at all, you can now pick up a Series 10 right now and save up to $140 on it versus the Series 11 Titanium model.
